Golden State Warriors Blowout-and the Reconstruction

Golden State Warriors loses to Phoenix Suns 90-111

After Golden State Warriors loses to Phoenix Suns in the play in what's next??

Well... Golden State hit a brick wall on yesterday. They could not regain the energy that they displayed with the game against the Clippers. Golden State had spurts of energy effort in a comeback against Phoenix; but it just wasn't enough. Steph Curry struggled only shooting 3 out of 10; 3-point shots, with only 17 points to end the game.

Phoenix Suns: Jalen Green had an awesome game; he was locked in and loaded. Jalen Green can be inconsistent and without any structure at times, but when he is feeling confident from the start; he is everything you need to a team.  Jalen scored 36 points in the team's victory along with Devin Booker's 20 points. While the Phoenix Suns are managing cohesiveness as a team, questions remain how good are they; can they be the dark horse in the Western Conference. We will surely find out as they will face Oklahoma City Thunder in round 1 of the playoffs on Sunday at 2:30pm.

Golden State Warriors on the other hand have a different trajectory, they will now focus on the season and what needs to be done in order to be a contender again. Golden State is known for loyalty to their star players (except Klay Thompson. Just saying). I am sure that they are wondering on how they can continue to build alongside Steph Curry.

Jimmy Butler unfortunately was a big bust being out with an injury. I don't anticipate Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, Gary Payton II just off the top of my head being their next year. If you take loyalty out, of the picture I would definitely have a hard conversation with Draymond Green on getting him to retire. I don't think he has any trade value at this point. Steph needs a scorer in which they don't have one on the roster; the best they have is Gui Santos, which he has shown improvement.  Golden State will have to start over with a clean slate where hard decisions will have to be made.

Unfortunately, loyalty doesn't win games.
