New York Knicks vs Philadelphia 76ers Game 2- Eastern Conference

New York Knicks win in nail biter game!!

New York won in the final minutes of the 4th quarter

The New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers series is 2-0 with New York with the lead. This game was completely different from game one. Game one was a complete domination blow out. Philadelphia 76ers didn't play Joel Embiid, due to injuries, so the game pace was much faster without Embiid being in the game.

It was a different look for New York Knicks in the fast transitional offense that Philadelphia was throwing at them. Philadelphia created plays which also created a lot of fouls. Karl Anthony Towns got into early foul trouble , which caused a little juggling on Coach Brown part since Mitchell Robinson wasn't playing also due to being injured.

Paul George for Philiadelphia  played a wonderful, executed game in the beginning and Tyrese Maxey was able to break free from the defense a little more than the first game. But in the end, it wasn't enough they seemed to lose steam. Philadelphia couldn't convert any shots down the stretch they really didn't seem to have an answer for OG Anunoby, this guy is too strong. Also, Mikal Bridges had another great game, he is playing with such confidence right now.

The difference with these two teams is that New York Knicks have a better bench in their rotation than Philadelphia, Philly is really limited in their substitutions, and it wears on their starters.

Philadelphia will be going back home in hopes to protect their home court, they have mounted a comeback before, and they are hoping for another opportunity to do the same.

Next game will be played tomorrow May  8, 2026 at 6:00pm
