The San Antonio Spurs need a win at home to push for a game 7, can they do it?
The San Antonio Spurs fans are at their highest meltdown, they were furious at game 5 making statements that the game was fixed, the refs are against the Spurs they want OKC to win. I guess I am as messy as they come because I am loving it. They feel that Victor Wembanyama is getting treated unfair, he is getting pushed around like most basketball player centers and big men in the paint. Wemby himself now has decided he doesn't want to talk to the media. Stephon Castle feels they are not getting the luxury treatment from the referees. This series drama got me drinking Spirits and eating nachos with all anticipation. The new TV Show coming live " The Real Drama Kings of San Antonio".
Game 5 was payback for the whooping that San Antonio gave Oklahoma City in game 4. Oklahoma City Thunder came with a game plan keeping Wemby on the perimeter and keeping him out of the paint. Wemby wasn't able to force his will like in previous games. He managed 20 points 0-5 three-point shots. De'Aaron Fox also had a hard time himself, I don't think he has necessarily healed from his high ankle sprain he only had 9 points.
Oklahoma City Thunder was able to get San Antonio in foul trouble starting in the 4th quarter, so they were able to put pressure on the defense in scoring. This bench player that OKC has is something serious Jared McCain he scored 20 points and of course Shai Gilgeous did his thing with 32 points.
Look watching these teams play against each other has been entertaining because usually I can pick who I think will win based of a few things but honestly this time I have no idea. All I know is I can't wait for the drama to unfold in game 6. Who will have a meltdown, who will cry, who will get ejected and who will drop kick a ref. Let's see, Stay tuned.
