The rumors are in the air: and Kyrie Irving name is floating
The rumor gambit is in full force. So, there is a live story out there that Dallas would be interested in a 3-man trade for Kyrie Irving. Another narrative is the possibility of Joel Embiid going to the Mavericks sending Kyrie Irving to the Philadelphia 76ers. In the rumor game there is one where the Minnesota Timberwolves are also trying to get Kyrie Irving. Then there is the Detroit Pistons who also allegedly trying to get Kyrie Irving.
While I find these all interesting and entertaining, if you talk to the front office of the Dallas Mavericks, they have vehemently denied these false narratives stating that these trade rumors are not true. Dallas Mavericks President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri has made it clear that Kyrie in not in any form on the trading block and that he will be back starting the new season.
I would imagine Dallas is leaning on Kyrie Irving to assist them with their rookie Cooper Flagg. Kyrie with his veteran pedigree and Cooper Flagg can build the franchise and try to erase the trade debacle of Luka Doncic from our memory. Also, Kyrie has stated that he is content in Dallas and is not looking for another endeavor.
Also, I am curious why would someone want to trade for Kyrie Irving, he hasn't played basketball in over a year due to an injury after having surgery for a torn ACL. Due to the unknown of his progression his stock would be low in a trade and Dallas and Kyrie wouldn't get a fair-trading value.

Steph Curry is the next on the rumor plank, let's dive into it. Steph is said to no longer be on the same accord with Golden State Warriors administration. Since the season has expired, Golden State really hasn't moved much in obtaining any offensive or defensive players, they seem to exhibit lack luster efforts in its supposably rebuild off season. Some of the bigger names in the trading portal such as Lebron James, Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo Golden State seemed to fail at being aggressive in their pursuits.
Now reports state that Steph may be using his contract extension eligibility as leverage to get the team front office to acquire some star power on the team in order to rebuild a championship level team. Currently the team is older and is not as competitive as previous years and Steph recognizes this and is focused on a current rebuild while the franchise is focused on the future aspects.
My opinion: Steph is a true competitor and why would he invest his health and energy in a team that is stagnate. If Golden State Warriors choose not to invest in actively looking to get their franchise player some help, I could see the frustration I definitely would hold out on signing an extension until I see results.
