New York Knicks owned the Atlanta Hawks-Game 6
Well the Hawk done got captured and caged.
Tonight game 6 in Atlanta State Farm Arena the Atlanta Hawks was demolished by the New York Knicks. The game was practically over in the second quarter before halftime. What happened you ask? The Knicks resilient and steady defense the pressure on the ball the entire game. Atlanta Hawks just could not gather their footing.
The game was fast paced, and New York came out to prove a point. The high intensity offense and team ball. The ball movement with multiple passes was effective, it made it hard for Atlanta to defend. Usually, Jalen Brunson holds the ball and waits until he sees someone break open, which can cause unforced turnovers but not today.........
Coach Mike Brown has found the key to success in these last two games, which is ball movement and creating space. Jalen Brunson is a great ball handler, but he finds himself creating plays instead of allowing the open shots to be fluid. Most teams know to pressure Jalen with the ball and to get him to make a hasty decision or shoot under pressure. These last two games have been different.
The Atlanta Hawks was eliminated tonight but in retrospect the Atlanta Hawks have a great team with CJ McCullom and Jalen Johnson, and I see them having a great season next year. I think this duo works. Jalen Johnson proved this season that he is one to watch out for, he is a great efficient shooter and consistently lays it all out there on the court every night.
Coach Mike Brown lives another day. Congrats!
Now on to the second round!
