You got two number one teams going head-to-head; South Carolina Gamecocks vs UConn Huskies that was showcased on Friday April 3, 2026 both these teams have a rich athletic pedigree history. Both of these teams come to the table with experience and grit and expectations, but both can't win. 

In preparation we were glued to the TV waiting on a passionate enthusiastic game, but what we received was an old-fashioned beat down, a DDT, pile driver, a spine buster, people's elbow and then some.  The South Carolina women wanted it, and they came out swinging with two bats.  South Carolina beat UConn for the final score of 62 to UConn's 48. But.... just when you thought that was the topic of discussion; it wasn't it's what happened at the end of the game that dominated the headlines.

UConn's Coach Geno at the end of the game during the opposing team handshake decided to give Coach Dawn with South Carolina an unexpected tongue lashing. Now the details of why the outburst are grainy and blurry to say the least and I will leave it at that; but I give him credit he showed more fight than the team did. 

Do you blame Coach Geno, his team got burned and apparently, he wasn't prepared. This dustup reminded me of two siblings fighting over a toy while one may have the biggest grip on the toy, the other one gets upset and goes into full theatrics and falls on the floor kicking and screaming full tantrum mode. We can move on now........
