The Phoenix Suns Lost in 4 games to the Oklahoma City Thunder
Where Da Brooms At....... Well, the Sun didn't Set in Phoenix
This series between Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns was tough. It was so tough I really don't have much to say. Phoenix Suns lost 122 to Oklahoma City Thunder 131. We knew who Oklahoma City Thunder was as a team going into the playoff. We got a chance to witness their greatness from last year through this season. The Phoenix Suns we really didn't know their identity. In this series we still didn't know their identity. So, I am assuming during the off-season Phoenix will be doing a lot of soul searching.
In this series as a recap these games were high scoring games, but Phoenix would still lose by almost 20 points if not more in each game. There was no formula from game to game on how to stop Oklahoma from crashing the boards. They almost went into each game with a hope that Oklahoma would have an off game. Even the biggest agitator in the NBA, (Dillon Brooks) couldn't get into Oklahoma's head.
This team on paper seems to be a great cohesive bunch of players; but from the coach to the players this is a mismatch. Phoenix has tried numerous times to build around Devin Booker; but it seems to fall flat every time. There is work to be done here on this team; and the only answer is to dismantle.
Oklahoma City Thunder is a great team; but I have seen where they are beatable. Phoenix never slowed the game nor changed up after the first game loss.
Ohhhh Well, Phoenix enjoy your early vacation. Interesting to see what's in your future.
