The Knicks had some Defense tonight against Atlanta Hawks in game 5 of the series
New York Knicks was great on defense tonight Atlanta Hawks was suffocated all night.
The
New York Knicks won convincedly tonight with the score of 126-97 bringing the series; New York 3-2 Atlanta. New York came with a mindset of protecting home court tonight by all means. Their defense was amazing by all the players. Steals, blocking, they were aggressive on both sides of the court.
The offense was dominate; they were attacking the interior. Karl Anthony Towns was physical in the post, and he just had his way. OG Anunoby was also great along with Mitchell Robinson and Atlanta just could not stop nor kill their momentum. Jalen Brunson had a great game scoring 39 points. I want to take the time to also mention Jose Alvarado he also came to the party to play as well.
Atlanta Hawks went silent tonight, CJ McCullom was very contained he had a hard night, none of his shots were going in and it looked like it affected his mental. Jalen Johnson had a great first half then he went cold for the remaining of the game. Jonathan Kuminga he got into early foul trouble, and he seemed to play safe all night.
This game is going back to Atlanta next, and they may have an answer to the mistakes they made tonight. I hope the Knicks will be prepared, closing this out won't be easy. It's not like you can pack the church organ player from the New York Knicks game and take them with you for inspiration. So, I hope they learned two things from this game. Defense and sustained energy.
