Detroit Pistons protected home court against Cleveland Cavaliers
Detroit Pistons took on Cleveland Cavaliers and took home a win
Game One that was played in Detroit was curiously close considering; Cleveland Cavaliers did not play a complete game. There were a lot of miscues. Cleveland was not blocking out at them rim, losing the rebound competition, their feet were stagnate on offense and defense, they committed multiple turn overs and had sloppy ball handling. Cleveland should feel encouraged because considering they didn't play their best ball they still were able to be competitive and keep the game close.
Detroit Pistons Cade Cunningham played a great game along with Tobias Harris. In these playoffs Tobias Harris has really stepped up for Detroit, the veteran is showing his experience in these moments and should be taken serious in the playoffs.
James Harden with Cleveland didn't have the greatest of games, he had plenty of turnovers and most of his usual shots weren't going in, his movement seemed slow at times. While Harden had 22 points, he was 1-7 from the perimeter shooting.
If Cleveland wants to make this series competitive, they will have to find a better defensive response along with having someone else to step up offensively. Harden will have to speed up his ball handling tempo; Detroit plays great defense if Harden dances with the ball at the top of the key he will get picked majority of the times.
The Battle isn't over Game 2 will be played on Thursday May 7, 2026
