MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES RUN ENDED IN 3RD QUARTER
The Minnesota is OUT of the Playoffs due to the San Antonio Spurs squad
Minnesota scrambled and tried to figure out how to stretch their team on offense and defense against the powerhouse team of the San Antonio Spurs. Every effort not just in this game but mostly the series they could not find an answer. In game one with the win against San Antonio Spurs it gave the Timberwolves fans hope that this might be a year of unanticipated glee; but after game one it went into the category of this is painful. We will put an asterisk sign on game 4.
In game 6 in the first half Minnesota Timberwolves got down by 12 points; it was still manageable or so I thought so, then there was a complete defensive collapse on San Antonio guards De'Aron Fox and Stephon Castle could not be stopped they were offensively steadfast, taking no prisoners inside the paint.
Stephon Castle scored a high of 32 points and 11 rebounds. Unfortunately for Minnesota they could not overcome the presence of Victor Wembanyama, they kept trying to drive in the paint and score, but Wembanyama just kept blocking the shots. Minnesota had a hard time getting Wemby out of the paint.
It's a tell tell sign when Anthony Edwards from Minnesota start congratulating the San Antonio Spurs midway in the third quarter. (Yikes)
Minnesota gave it their all and left their sweat on the court and should be proud of their season.
