Recap: On Game 3 of the New York Knicks verses San Antonio Spurs in the Garden in the first quarter on Monday night Victor Wembanyama went rouge again. Wemby from the Spurs decided that Jalen Brunson was a nuisance and handled him accordingly. Brunson was trying to set a screen on Wemby during the game and Wemby decided to palm Brunson by the head and shoved him very hard to the floor to break free. (Where they do that at, LOL). Brunson reaction spoke volumes as he picked himself off the floor and confronted Wemby (While Wemby laughed).
In the game the referees didn't see the action (wink wink), so a foul wasn't accessed in the game.
After the game in the press conference Jalen Brunson was asked about the incident with Wemby and he stated, "Whatever you saw is what you saw". Even Coack Mike Brown with the New York Knicks discussed his issues with the officiating and the disparities in the foul shooting in the game.
After review, the NBA League sent out a report on yesterday with their findings that the referees did indeed miss the foul in the game but in their determination, they have decided not to upgrade the action as a flagrant foul retroactively against Wemby (isn't that convenient).
Personally, I am all for a great basketball defensive game with a little aggressiveness; but when is aggressiveness going too far off the richter scale.
The definition of a flagrant foul in basketball: is when you have an extremely serious personal foul called for excessive or unnecessary contact that puts an opponent safety at risk. It is a deliberate and violent action that violates the spirit of the sport often resulting in heavy fines or ejections.
If the action that Wemby did on Brunson was not considered a flagrant foul, then I don't know what is. I am so confused Josh Hart with the Knicks was called for a flagrant 1 for tripping a player on the opposing team.
Maybe they need to change the definition of Flagrant fouls: it is only utilized or accessed to everyone else that is not an alien that plays with the San Antonio Spurs, and we need to see a doctor's excuse from your physician stating why you no longer have a head attached to your body. (Gheesh, Im just saying I give up)
Game 4 tonight in the Garden. Let's get it !
