Women: Cocoa Gauff is ready for the second round she competed against Zeynep Sonmez and won in two sets 6-3, 6-4. Cocoa I must say has maintained her serve a lot better in these majors and has maintained her composure and has her eye ahead after her win from the Cincinnati tournament.
Naomi Osaka she is leveling up herself beating a feisty spitfire opponent Anastasia Zakharova in two tie breaker sets 7-6, 7-6 - Warning- not tennis related (Osaka her fashion sense was supposed to be a nod to Allen Iverson, the basketball player but it was given more of wrapped bed comforter and a black plastic bag couture) Hey but who am I
Alexandra Eala the Philippines phenom is bringing her fans and her game she didn't hold any prisoners tonight beating Mary Stoiana 6-1, 6-2.
also you had A. Potapova, E. Mertens, M. Andreeva, M. Sakkari who also were winners
Men: Gael Monfils the 40-year-old won his match against A. Vallejo in 4 sets 2-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0- I am a huge fan of Monfils watched him for years and just to watch him still excite the crowd it makes me so happy.
Lorenzo Musetti beat Arther Fery 6-3, 6-3, 5-7
To our surprise one of the losers is the Cincinnati Tournament winner Arthur Fils. Fils came into the tournament feeling confident with his vicious forehand and powerful returns, but he was stopped by one familiar name Stefanos Tsitsipas, for Tsitsipas this was a great win considering Fils came into the tournament with a number 10 seed this can't do anything other than boost his mindset going forward. 6-4, 6-7, 1-6, 4-6
