Where my cockroaches at: New York Knicks came in and won game two in San Antonio
Hello everybody what a beautiful day, New York Knicks came in and won game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs. 🌞
Let's dive into it: This game was somewhat the same as Game 1 with a little small variance. San Antonio Spurs came in looking to me more aggressive from the start. In which many would say a lot of aggressiveness unless you were a referee. The referees were horrid; they allowed a little too much testosterone and body jabs into the game, if you ask me. (New York Knicks weren't getting any calls)
De'aaron Fox had a better game offensively for the San Antonio Spurs he came out with 20 points, and he played great defensively against Jalen Brunson. Victor Wembanyama had a great game, but it came more in the second half. Wemby seemed a little out of sorts in the first half and it was stemmed from Karl Anthony Towns dunk, where he let out a big boy scream, I think it scared him. Once Wemby saw Karl Anthony Towns assertiveness he seemed to get intimidated and kind of withdraw from the paint area. San Antonio plan was to change up the defense by double teaming Jalen Brunson to keep him from having scoring opportunities; but while it worked by keeping Brunson offense stagnate it allowed the rest of the team to divvy up the scoring. Mikal Bridges came out with his half court floaters, shooting 20 points, Landry Shamet hit his 3-pointers with 13 points. This game 2 win for the Knicks was collective win, everyone seemed to play a part.
This game 2 was a close one, with New York being up by 12 points and the San Antonio Spurs came roaring back in the 4th quarter to tie the game. In the last few minutes San Antonio had the ball but Wemby in error threw the ball against his teammates back and Brunson grabbed the ball but was fouled by Wemby instantly and it sent Brunson to the free throw line where he was only able to make 1 out of 2 free throws. With 7 seconds on the clock bringing the ball in from out of bounds at half court the ball was thrown to Wemby for him to make the last shot and he missed and New York won by one point. (Whew) New York 105- San Antonio 104
Injury alert: Watch out for Stehon Castle with the Spurs he left with the game with an ankle issue.
