Stephen A. got his just desserts when he entered the Madison Square Garden Infosys Theatre where Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart decided to do a live taping of their podcast. Guess who was the guest? You guessed it Stephen A. Instantly once he hit the floor, he was met with boos from the crowd. ( I wonder if he saw that coming)
Let's go into Stephen A. Knicks past comments: We all know the Villanova connection to the New York Knicks team: Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges both attended and played basketball for the University. Well let's just say that Stephen A. wasn't impressed that New York Knicks organization chose to stock up on these players he felt that New York deserved something better than the 2016 Villanova Champions.
Mikal Bridges; which in the regular season he seemed to struggle and Stephen A. felt like he needed to be traded. He stated that New York to get Mikal Bridges had to trade seven draft picks to obtain Mikal Bridges for someone who can't have a consistent game was unacceptable.
Then Stephen A. and Josh Hart had beef. In Mikal Bridges defense Josh Hard told Stephen A. to shut up and labeled Stephen A. a New York Knicks part-time fan. Then of course Stephen A. couldn't let it rest and told Josh Hart to sit down and be quiet and that he is very close to the people who sign his paycheck. (Whatever that means)
On to the next negative comment: Stephen A. had problems with Karl Anthony Towns and him celebrating after making shots. Karl Anthony Towns would blow and kiss after shots were made, and Stephen A. felt like it was a distraction.
Jalen Brunson said that the star player wasn't trying to win championships nor would he win them but was only playing to win an MVP nod. The way that Brunson would play would only handicap the team itself rather than bolster.
Stephen A. has apologized and took the boos in stride and admitted he was wrong. (Good for him) Until next season: We will wait for another trove of negativity!!
