US OPEN SHOCKERS

Williams Sisters
First let's get right into it, the Queens: The Williams sisters Venus and Serena played doubles on yesterday and they brought the crowd and energy. Ok so I will say they played pretty good on yesterday; Venus had an energy drink and vitamins on deck she played better than I have ever seen. She played the ball with force, attacking the baseline and the net. Venus serve was pretty proficient. Serena played aggressive hitting the balls like her usual self with power and purpose. While it was a great 3-hour doubles match the Queens got that "L" issued by Maya Joint and Hao-Ching Chan they just seemed to dig in with grit and strong will. 6-3, 6-7, 7-6

Women

Jasmine Paolini the Italian pint size powerhouse lost her match against Sorana Cirstea in two straight sets 3-6, 3-6.

The American Jessica Pegula got a wakeup call against Leylah Fernandez on yesterday. Jessica started off slow and Fernandez took full advantage of it she won the first set in 30 minutes. Pegula came back in the second set with intensified energy raising her game and mental beating Fernandez in the second and third set. 1-6, 6-4, 6-3

Elina Svitolina, lost her match against #21ranked Anna Kalinskaya in three sets: 3-6, 6-2, 3-6. This is a little disappointing to Svitolina especially how she was playing leading up to the US Open, she was finding her way up in the tennis circuit playing her best tennis yet.

Emma Navarro, is proving that her tennis level continues to excel. Navarro is playing great she is a great player but tends to fade in the middle of the pact. I felt that this match would prove to be difficult for her because she was playing Karolina Muchova. Navarro played the baseline well, controlling the points and dictating each play while Muchova couldn't be consistent and committed 22 unforced errors just in the first set. Navarro be Muchova in two sets 6-3, 7-5

Men

Frances Tiafoe, won his match in straight sets against Valentin Vacherot. Tiafoe didnt want to be on the court more than he had to winning 6-4, 6-2, 6-4

Stephanos Tsitsipas, he has reached back to yester year because he is playing like he did around 4 or 5 years ago.  Tsitsipas has fired his dad and coaches trying to figure out how he can level up his game but was struggling until now. Tsitsipas is playing well and has won his match against Jiri Lehecka beating him 2-6, 6-1, 7-6, 6-1.

Carlos Alcarez coming back from his wrist surgery is playing just incredible. (what surgery). He is giving the tennis fans a show also showing skin as well. Alcarez took off his shirt, and the women almost lost their mind, (lol shameless) While I don't feel like Alcarez has been really tested in this tennis draw, it really will be interested to see if he can keep up this momentum once the wrist gets really tested by a power player and server. Alcarez won his match in three sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 against Y.B. Wu

We off to the next round people.....
