Minnesota Timberwolves vs San Antonio Spurs Game 5
Minnesota loses to San Antonio due to lackluster offensive performance.
On last night, the Minnesota Timberwolves seemed a little tired on yesterday. They gave a little of me on Monday morning going to work vibes. Minnesota consistently trailed San Antonio the first quarter to the last quarter. Their superstar Anthony Edwards shot 6-13 points from the field for 20 points and McDaniels, Randle both had 17 points each.
Victor Wembanyama recovered from the elbowgate controversy and had a descent game of 27 points, but Keldon Johnson stepped up shooting 8-11with 21 points. This San Antonio Spurs team is dangerous; you may shut out a couple of key players during a game and someone else will come into the game and have an explosive game. You really just have to take your chances and defend man to man, even in double teaming Wemby he will just kick it out for someone else to take over.
The elephant in the room for Minnesota........ RUDY GOBERT. OK in this series you got Rudy on Wemby. This aint working yall......(Is Rudy the blame or is the coaching the blame). See Rudy is a true Center and is not known for running and guarding on the perimeter, Wemby is confusing him, by getting him out the paint and then runs in to shoot, kick out or just take a three pointer on the perimeter. Also, Rudy is not a point maker, but 4 points just not going to cut it, he needs to be more aggressive in making Wemby foul him early, get him into foul trouble and make up your points at the free throw line.
I guess easier said than done. Will Minnesota compete or go home
