US OPEN ITS GETTING HEATED

Alexander Zverev the #1 men's player played Luciano Darderi on yesterday and he won in three sets. The first two sets were won convincingly the third set went into a tie break. Darderi on that 3rd set drunk some expresso and he started to play great giving Zverev anxious nerves. Darderi made it difficult for Zverev by continuing to serve him drop shots at the net. To be honest it had the 6' 6"ft Zverev doing sprints at the net like a video game. Zverev pulled out a win, but he may have to ice those knees and be prepared that going forward this might be a strategy that will be used continuously in the rest of the tournament against him. Zverev wins 6-2, 6-2, 7-6

Cocoa Gauff won her match against Iva Jovic, and she sent a statement with the win. Cocoa Gauff has improved her serve and her defense. Gauff seemed to cover the court very well making it hard to find an opening. Gauff won 6-1, 6-4

Naomi Osaka, well another fashion runway model done left the US Open. Osaka also wore her Sundays best to a street fight.  Elena Rybakina ranked #2 women came in and wasted no time in showing Osaka the exit in her couture fashion fit. Osaka had been dealing with a left Achilles injury and that may have prevented and contributed to the lack of movement from the player.  Rybakina won against Osaka 6-1, 6-4

The comeback KING Big Foe (Frances Tiafoe) was down two sets against fellow American Alex Michelsen, he seemed to not have an answer from the aggressive shot maker Michelsen. The match was all but over to the point I almost changed the channel, then Tiafoe seemed to find another gear, and he pressed and waited patiently playing point after point to get himself going. And dog-on he came back to win 3 sets after his 2 second lost. Michelsen unfortunately will question himself till eternity if he just got nervous and choked or what he could have done better. It was in Michelsen hands to lose and yet Big Foe sneakingly stole it from him. After the match to see Michelson cry was hard to watch. He played very well and I am sure this will just be fuel for his return moving forward. Tiafoe won 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6

Aryna Sabalenka, the jewelry queen got a scare today and it was written all on her face. Linda Noskova brough her Halloween bag of tricks today and literally scared Sabalenka to tears. You could actually see Sabalenka was human for a change. Noskova applied pressure and created a 4-2 deficit in the final set, on her way to victory until Sabalenka played with desperation and fought back point after point and won 7-6, 3-6, 7-6
